A big thank you to HCS Safety for conducting our Refresher Asbestos Awareness Training today!

As part of our procedure for managing Health & Safety we arranged a half day training course for all of our site operatives to ensure their health & safety welfare needs are being met.

Delegates carried out a number of activities during the course, which tested their abilities to find the likely locations of asbestos within buildings and to assess risk from different types of asbestos containing materials.

Sadly asbestos is the UK’s biggest occupational killer, responsible for causing fatal lung diseases. Any building built before the year 2000 (houses, factories, offices, schools, hospitals etc.) can contain asbestos.
